SMAN 2 Barabai
Deskripsi
Pantai Hambawang (SMAN 2 Barabai) – Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) di SMAN 2 Barabai mulai dilaksanakan pada Senin (22/04/2024). Akan dilaksanakan selama 23 pekan, dengan tema Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan untuk seluruh siswa kelas X atau Fase E. Pada kegiatan ini diharapkan siswa SMAN 2 Barabai mampu memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila sesuai dengan nilai-nilai pancasila sebagai jiwa yang mendasari negara Indonesia. Pada kegiatan ini seluruh siswa kelas X diarahkan pada pengelolaan sampah untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup dan keasrian lingkungan sekitar dengan pengelolaan sampah plastik.
Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dengan tema ini mengolah sampah menjadi barang yang lebih berguna atau istilah yang sekarang lebih popular dikenal dengan ecobrick. Ecobrik adalah solusi yang sangat powerful yang dilakukan oleh semua orang atas sampah plastik yang sudah tidak mampu lagi untuk mengatasi sampah" kata ibu Juairiyah selaku ketua Koordinator P5 pada tema ini. Ecobrick merupakan solusi dengan energi yang rendah dan pemanfaatan sampah plastik yang tidak berguna lagi, karena sampah plastik akan membutuhkan waktu ribuan tahun untuk terurai.
Minimnya kesadaran tentang dampak sampah plastik masih menjadi ironi. Lingkungan air, tanah, dan udara menjadi sasaran utama. Berbagai senyawa kimia yang terkandung di dalamnya bisa menimbulkan beragam masalah kesehatan. Kesadaran untuk menghindari penggunaan plastik secara berlebihan menjadi salah satu solusinya. Dimulai dengan memperhatikan penggunaan plastik diri sendiri. Langkah ini sekaligus melestarikan bumi tercinta.
Beliau juga mengatakan "dengan tema gaya hidup berkelanjutan yang dilakukan sekolah adalah mendorong dan membekali siswa untuk membuat sesuatu yang berguna untuk mereka sendiri dan orang lain dari sampah plastik, daripada membiarkan sampah terbuang bebas, terbakar dan meracuni lingkungan" tambah beliau.
Dan dengan kegiatan ini besar harapan sekolah agar dapat menamkan kebiasaan baik yaitu para siswa dapat membiasakan membawa kantong belanja sendiri, membawa botol minum dan tumbler sendiri, dan mendaur ulang. Ini kita gunakan agar tidak bertambah banyak sampah plastik. Mungkin dengan kita lebih sadar bahwa penggunaan sampah plastik dapat membuat bumi menjadi kotor dan tidak indah lagi.
