Pantai Hambawang, (SMAN 2 Barabai) – Tim Basket SMAN 2 Barabai mengikuti pertandingan Barabai Basketball Student League (BBSL) HST Tahun 2024 dan menjadi tuan rumah pada pertandingan kedua turnamen bola basket antar pelajar.se-Kab.HST,Kamis(14/10/24) di Lapangan Basket SMAN 2 Barabai.
Tim Basket SMAN 2 Barabai bertanding melawan SMAN 8 Barabai. Pada babak pertama SMAN 2 Barabai unggul 8-11 dari SMAN 8 Barabai namun berjalannya waktu SMAN 8 Barabai mampu mengalahkan SMAN 2 Barabai dengan skor 27 – 32 pada pagelaran BBSL HST Tahun 2024 itu.
Pelatih Basket SMAN 2 Barabai, Rahmat mengatakan tim basket SMAN 2 Barabai baru tahun ini kembali aktif dan ikut bertanding setelah vakum beberapa tahun pada saat pandemi covid 19. Sehingga pertandingan hari ini merupakan awal yang baik untuk tim basket SMAN 2 Barabai untuk menambah pengalaman dan meningkatkan kualitas latihan agar bisa kembali bertanding dan meraih juara nantinya.
“ Hal ini juga ditegaskan oleh Kepala SMAN 2 Barabai bahwa ini adalah awal untuk meraih kemenangan nantinya di event berikutnya”. Dan untuk kedepannya pembinaan dan pelatihan serta peserta didik yang tergabung dalam tim basket smadaba bisa terus berlatih, menjaga kekompakan dan menjaga kebugaran” pungkasnya.
Sementara itu, Guru Penjaskes SMAN 2 Barabai, Angga mengatakan rasa bangga kepada tim basket SMAN 2 Barabai mampu sportif dan mengimbangi lawan dengan permainan yang seru dan menuai sorak-sorai para penonton. Walaupun kalah bertanding melawan SMAN 8 Barabai seluruh dewan guru serta peserta didik lainya tetap mendukung dan memberikan semangat saat bertanding,” ungkapnya.
