SMAN 2 Barabai
Deskripsi
Hulu Sungai Tengah, (SMAN 2 Barabai) – 14 Juli 2025 yang lalu mengadakan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) kepada 252 peserta didik baru tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026 yang digelar selama lima hari berturut-turut dari tanggal 14-18 Juli 2025 yang bertempat di lapangan outdoor SMAN 2 Barabai.
Kegiatan MPLS yang digelar dengan bantuan OSIS dan MPK juga berkolaborasi dengan anggota TNI dari Koramil Labuan Amas Selatan sebagai bentuk sinergi untuk dapat menanamkan karakter dan nilai-nilai yang ada untuk pembiasaan 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat sesuai dengan anjuran Kementerian Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (Kemendikdasmen).
Hal ini juga disampaikan langsung oleh kepala SMAN 2 Barabai, Sahrida Melati, S.Pd yang dalam sambutannya mengatakan “kegiatan MPLS yang bertemakan Ramah ini mudah-mudahan bisa menjadi awal dan langkah baru bagi semua peserta didik yang diterima di SMAN 2 Barabai untuk bisa beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sekolah dan merasa nyaman untuk berada di sekolah sehingga bisa belajar dengan baik dan meraih prestasi-prestasi baik dalam bidang akademik maupun non akademik nantinya. Serta tak lupa juga penanaman 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat yang harus dibiasakan dan juga mudah-mudahan dengan bantuan anggota TNI yang juga ikut berhadir pada kegiatan ini dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter khususnya kedisiplinan dalam diri utuk seluruh peserta didik baru”.
Hal ini juga diperkuat dengan kedatangan pemateri dari Pengawas Sekolah Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan yang juga menyampaikan penguatan 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat pada hari pertama MPLS. Memasuki hari kedua kegiatan dimulai sejak pagi hari dengan senam bersama yang dipandu oleh OSIS dan MPK untuk menciptakan semangat dan kebugaran jasmani. Setelah itu, peserta didik mendapatkan materi mengenai "Bullying dan Bahaya Narkoba serta Judi Online" , yang disampaikan oleh Tim TNI Kecamatan Labuan Amas Selatan.
Pada hari ketiga kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan senam bersama kembali dan menjawab soal assessment diagnostik untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan minat belajar siswa sebelum memulai pembelajaran di sekolah, lalu dilanjutkan dengan demo ekstrakulikuler dari semua ekstrakulikuler yang ada di SMAN 2 Barabai.
Hari keempat dilanjutkan dengan game timework dan unjuk bakat dari penampilan-penampilan seluruh peserta didik baru yang ingin menampilkan bakat dan kebolehan yang mereka miliki. Dan untuk hari terakhir dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan bersih-bersih sekolah dan dilanjutkan dengan penutupan kegiatan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS).
