SMAN 2 Barabai
Deskripsi
Hulu Sungai Tengah (SMAN 2 Barabai) – Pada hari Selasa, 21 Oktober 2025 yang lalu, SMAN 2 Barabai mengundang Tim Damkar dari Satpol PP Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah untuk melakukan sosialisasi edukatif kepada siswa-siswi untuk belajar lebih banyak tentang pemadam kebakaran. Kegiatan ini sebagai bagian dari kegiatan kukorikuler dalam implementasi kurikulum Merdeka.
Kokurikuler adalah kegiatan pembelajaran di luar kelas yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat, memperdalam, atau memperkaya materi pelajaran yang sudah dipelajari di kelas (intrakurikuler). Kegiatan ini mendukung pengembangan kompetensi dan karakter siswa, seperti kunjungan industri, studi lapangan, atau proyek penelitian.
Kegiatan yang bertempat di lapangan outdoor sekolah, sebelum kegiatan sosialisasi dimulai, siswa-siswi duduk dengan rapi sesuai dengan kelasnya masing-masing dan dihimbau untuk mendengarkan dengan seksama sambutan dan pengarahan dari Tim Damkar. Sambutan dari Tim Damkar dimulai dengan perkenalan dengan seluruh tim berjumlah dua anggota yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Rusmin Nuryadin selaku Plt. Kasi Kerjasama dan Pemadam Kebakaran Satpol PP dan Damkar Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah. Kemudian dibuka oleh Ibu Kepala SMAN 2 Barabai dan dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan secara lebih terperinci berbagai hal tentang pemadam kebakaran di antaranya penyebab terjadinya kebakaran, alat dan perlengkapan Tim Damkar yang digunakan saat melakukan pemadaman api, cara penanganan kebakaran dengan berbagai jenis dan media yang digunakan untuk memadamkan api mulai seperti menggunakan kain handuk dan sejenisnya dibasahi dengan air, penggunaan APAR (Alat pemadam api ringan) tentunya disesuaikan dengan jenis kebakaran.
Untuk mendapatkan pembelajaran kontekstual kepada siswa-siswi, maka Tim Damkar memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa-siswi mempraktikkan cara yang benar saat memadamkan api menggunakan kain yang dibasahi air. Dilanjutkan dengan praktik memadamkan api menggunakan APAR.
Kunjungan Tim Pemadam Kebakaran Satpol PP Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah ini harapannya dapat memberikan pengetahuan penting bagi siswa-siswi tentang cara penanganan kebakaran, proses terjadinya api, jenis-jenis kebakaran, dan cara penggunaan alat pemadam. Melalui kegiatan ini, siswa-siswi belajar bagaimana menangani situasi darurat kebakaran dengan tepat dan memahami betapa pentingnya kesiapan dalam menghadapi bencana kebakaran sebagai bekal bagi mereka semua nantinya yang akan kembali ke Masyarakat.
